5 principles
At AVY Road Cycling Hub Quinta, as your hosts during your stay we advocate and implement the 5 principles of Yoga as a cornerstone and pilar for everyday life greatly maximising the benefits of applied sports activities and further providing additional stability in the day-to-day experiences, retreat dynamic and flow.
Proper Exercise
Asanas or postures. They work primarily on the spine and central nervous system. The spine gains in strength and flexibility, circulation is stimulated, bringing nutrients and oxygen to all the cells of the body.
Proper breathing
Pranayama or Yogic breath. Pranayama stimulates the energy reserves of the solar plexus, revitalising body and mind. Regulating the breath helps to store prana, or life force. Through proper breathing exercises and regular practice we are able to tap into your bodies natural energy reserves.
Proper Diet
The yogic attitude to food is: eat to live, not live to eat. Food is chosen to have a positive effect on the body and mind and to have as little negative impact as possible on the environment and other living beings. A lacto-vegetarian diet rich in seeds, nuts, fruits, grains and dairy products and high in legumes and vegetables is recommended. However, fresh, unrefined foods are best prepared simply to maximize nutrients.
Proper Relaxation
Deep relaxation works on three levels. Physical, mental and spiritual- and is the most natural way to re-energize body and mind. During the deep relaxation at the end of a yoga session, the body uses only enough prana to maintain vital metabolic activities. The rest of the energy gained during practice is stored.
Positive Thinking and Meditation
Positive thinking and meditation are the keys to peace of mind. Meditation techniques calm the mind and enhance focus and concentration.Try not to Focus on thoughts and when they appear to let them go. Focus on your breath, cause this is the real present. After some practice you will recognize how much power is in the Present. Its is a Big Adventure to take accepting the challenge.

I am so happy to work with passioned and likeminded people, especially in sports.
I am a trained yoga teacher by Sivananda Yoga Vedanta India and experienced massage therapist. Fascinated by holistic health, influenced by my teachers, peers, environment and travels I aim to utilise the science of yoga and proven curing techniques of therapeutic massage to deliver an integrated and holistic wellbeing experience to my students and clients. Through mediation, mindful asana practice, therapeutic massage or proven relaxation strategies the objective is to have students and clients alike, leave feeling refreshed, energised and return with an ever-deepening, valued understanding of personal well-being and to directly experience first hand the mental and physical benefits of applied Wellness practices.
